NC State Executive Education Welcomes Susan Heaton as Director of Business Development

NC State Executive Education, based in the North Carolina State University Poole College of Management, announces the appointment of Susan Heaton as director of business development.

Heaton was selected for this role based on her strong business development background spanning multiple industry verticals. She most recently was director of business development and sustainability at Daycon Inc. and prior to that, was director of national accounts development at Green Seal™ – the nation’s leading non-profit, environmental standards writing and certification organization.

“Susan brings an entrepreneurial mindset and more than 20 years’ professional experience in strategic business development to our team,” said Dan McGurrin, NC State Executive Education director. “Her prior experience – including building strong relationships, coaching and team development – supports our ongoing commitment to deliver world class results for our clients,” he said.

“I am very excited to add my passion and efforts to those of this extraordinary team of professionals. The depth and breadth of market impact that this program can have is uncapped and I am eager to assist in the growth of the NC State Executive Education program,” Heaton said. “Also, having grown up in the area, I spent a good deal of time on this campus, so this is somewhat like coming home for me.”
