Negotiation and Conflict Skills in Managing Relationships

Negotiation is a routine part of daily life and leadership, and approaching it with confidence and skill continually signals that you know your worth. This session presents and analyzes negotiation strategies and focuses on the critical skills to which leaders need to adapt in order to be successful. Participants who are not already practiced and comfortable in negotiation settings and rather find negotiating to be stressful, uncomfortable, and difficult, will find this session particularly useful.
Key takeaways:
- Experience both individual and group negotiations and debrief the experiences for personal growth
- Learn a systematic, four-step process for winning over even the toughest bosses and most skeptical colleagues
The simulation was fun and engaging, and allowed us to put the negotiation tactics we had learned into play.
