Interview with Jennifer Redmon, Cisco’s Manager, Data Science and Digital Process Skills Strategy & Community Enablement

Beginning in 2014, NC State partnered with Cisco’s Enterprise Data Science Office to develop a custom series of seminars for the IT and business community. Through 2017, more than 600 Cisco participants have completed NC State Data Science programs. Jennifer Redmon is responsible for the enablement of Cisco’s data science community globally.






Data Science for Leaders Course March 22 – April 26

Managing data science teams is a complex task. Individual team members have inconsistent motivating forces and are often spread around the world. Added to this equation are the business leaders who find themselves without specific or recent data science training trying to manage and communicate with their data scientists and programmers tackling these acute business challenges.





Making SMART Personal and Professional Resolutions

With the new year well on its way, countless individuals have already formed, and some broken, their New Year’s resolutions. In fact, by the second week of February, eighty percent of people have given up on their resolutions (Brock, 2018). This isn’t due to lack of effort; many people craft meaningful goals that they’re motivated to achieve and put in a valiant effort to reach them.





Women in Tech Leadership Camp, June 10-16 (New Program)

According to the North Carolina Technology Association, North Carolina leads the pack in the number of women involved in tech-based fields. One in three technology workers in North Carolina are women, a ratio that is higher than any other state (O’Daniel, 2015).





Business Essentials Spring Courses

NC State Executive Education’s Business Essentials Program is a four-day open enrollment course that provides technical professionals with a unique view of what drives decision-making in organizations and teaches participants how to create a business case for a new product, service, or process improvement.
